Utilizing a blend of traditional methods and techniques,
along with state of the art CAD-CAM technology,
we produce high quality master models as well as
rubber and metal molds for the jewelry industry.

Basically, the process works like this:

Provide us with a design sketch or drawing.

ringdrawing1

We will work with you on refining the design to achieve the desired result.
The design will then be vectorized to prepare it for the CAD/CAM software.

Next, we generate a 3-dimensional virtual replica model
of the design and provide you with multiple views of
the proposed model, rendered with gemstones if you prefer.

We can also work from existing CAD files such as Artcam,
RhinoCAD, or .STL files from other CAD programs.

Once the design and virtual model is
approved, toolpaths will be calculated
for the piece to be produced on one
of our precision CNC milling machines.

This process results in a wax model that can be
cast into any precious metal of your choosing.

Finally, the finished piece.

  • If requested, we can also provide casting and finishing of wax models in sterling silver with a mold-ready satin finish.

  • At this point rubber molds can be made to reproduce the piece. We offer RTV silicone molds (minimal very low shrinkage) as well as vulcanized rubber molds.
(with a common shrinkage rate of roughly 4%.)

  • For high production or very high detail pieces (lettering and such) we offer metal molds that can be injected with plastic at very high pressures to maintain razor crisp edges.
